 In today's blog I'll be talking about the process I'm taking to complete my commercial project. My commercial project will include pictures and videos of things that are important to me or that connect to me as a person. So to start of one picture I'd definitely choose is a picture of me and my team when we won the state champion for soccer. The main reason I would choose this is because it was one of my best accomplishments so far in terms of my soccer career and it was just a really special moment for me and the team. I would also include a picture of my dads dog because I get to see him every time I travel to see my dad and other family in Brazil and he is the sweetest and funniest dog that just makes me smile a lot. Another picture I would put in the project is a picture of my favorite birthday party. It was taken in Brazil, it was my favorite party because mostly all of my family were there and  I got a very special cake made for me including my favorite Brazilian sweets and snacks so it was just a great memory to have. The last picture I would add into the project would be a picture of me and family during one of my Christmas gatherings. This was the Christmas where I got my first video game console and as I remember it I was just very happy in that moment and it is one of my really good memories. Now to talk about the videos I would include and one of them would be a video of me and my team's celebration after our win in Nationals during this summer. I would use that video because it was also a very good accomplishment for me and my team and was also something very big to emotionally take in that day. The second video I would use is a video of me scoring the equalizer during the national tournament. I would include this picture because it was a huge for me and the team to get that tie and then we ended up scoring two more after that, giving us the win that game. The last video I would probably include is a video of me, my dad, and his friend. I would use this picture because me, my dad, and his friend would go out a lot when I go to Brazil and we always make some funny memories and I have many moments with them and they make me joyful mostly. Now I'll include to songs that I would include for my project. Firstly I would probably use the song "colors" by Jason Derulo. This was a famous song that was inspired by the 2018 World Cup and it brings me back to all the good things that happened to me that year, also the excitement from watching the World Cup with my family. The other song I'd use is "20 Min" by Lil Uzi Vert. One reason I would include this song is because it is one of my all time favorites and it just reminds me of a lot of good things in life. The second reason I would include this is the fact that Lil Uzi is one of my favorite artists out there and I always find myself listening to his music as he produces a lot of good songs.    Hey bloggers and welcome back to the continuation of my opening sequence. Today I will be tinkering throughout my sequence attempting to make it as improved as possible. Very similarly to what I did with my last blog. Considering how much I tweaked during the film review and the critique I used. It was relatively hard for me to see what was still wrong with the opening sequence. This meant I had to thoroughly watch and rewatch our current sequence in order to find thing I could improve upon. This took me quite a bit of minutes before finding pieces of the opening sequence that were not up to standard. The first thing I changed was the positioning of the titles as I wasn't very fond of where they previously were. At times the titles blocked out some important backgrounds or scenes due to their position and size. Reserach: Action Genre

   I'm researching genres to see if it's possible to spin our pitch in a creative way. The genre I am researching at the moment is the action genre. The action movies I researched tend to have these angles and movements of the camera: High and Low angle Birds Eye Views Tracking Shots Side Views Establishing Shots Common Mis-En-Scene used in action films: Occasional comedy Large and intricate movie sets (they get destroyed) Abundance of creative prop usage to create fake glass and prop weapons Intense usage of costumes to differentiate background characters from main characters Use of lighting to create tense feelings in audience (flashing lights, dim lights) Common Editing used in action films: Jump Cuts Cuts Fade Aways Cross Cuts Dissolve Inserts Common Sounds used in action films: Dialogue Intense music leaving audience on edge of their seats Sound Bridges Ambient Sounds to immerse audience Films I watched in this genre: Bullet Train The Gray Man Ghosted The John Wick Series...

Our Pitch

  These are our pitches we came up with for our opening sequence  Pitch A: A group of students plan out an innocent camping trip and begin to find out that there is something out there, something watching them the entire time. Pitch B: A family hires a personal chef, the chef sneakily steals items from their house covering his tracks no matter the cost. Pitch A seemed a little cliche to us at first but it was a very feasible idea that could still be loads of fun and really well produced. We found that it would be simpler to use effective music in a thriller as there are loads more films and media work using suspenseful music. We also had a slight plan as to where we would film the sequence, Oleta State Park. We also had the camping equipment necessary for the props and costumes allowing our budgets to be put towards other things.
