Hello Bloggers! Welcome back. I hope all is well with you all. In this blog I will be talking about some problems we had during the filming process.  It was a struggle with the filming process. We had multiple complications and even got into arguments. One of the days that we filmed, it was chaotic. It was when we looked up the coordinates and went to the house where Nicholas was thrown in the pool. We had to film the scenes at that house multiple times. Everyone kept laughing. I started getting stressed out because i just wanted to get it over with and move on to the next scene. After so many tries on one scene, we finally got it. Another example was when we were outside and the truck went in front of the car. During those scenes, everyone started getting distracted and having side conversations. It was already getting very dark. So i started getting really frustrated because no one was listening and they kept laughing at everything. After all of this, we all had a co...

Production blog: Filming Among the Dead

Hello Bloggers! I hope you all are doing well and we are back once again with another blog. As you all may notice the title already, it sounds creepy because today in this blog we'll be focusing on me and my groups experience filming in the cemetery. The fact that we had to film at a cemetery already gave me the shivers especially since it was going to be night time. As we were driving, we were planning on certain filming that we needed and lines that we had to memorize. Once we arrived we were contemplating if the cemetery was open or not but we saw an opening and we took it. We parked the car in this pathway and hoped out. Looking around made really scared because as I have never been in a cemetery before, it wasn't a nice first experience. Moreover, we began to film as we had Ethan who is the dad walk around with a flashlight and act like he was trying to find something. We had every scene down pretty well and got it done efficiently. The only big issue was the lighting si...

Production Blog: Filming Discoveries

Hello bloggers! I hope all of you are having a good day. As you may know from the last blog we started filming our short film. We looked over all of the scenes we filmed and made sure there was nothing wrong with them. We also used a editing software to make some tweaks to the audio and quality of the film. That took us about 40 minutes as a whole and then we got into the day's plan. We decided that we would film some more scenes today for our film. We sat down and discussed which scenes we would film. We ended up choosing the scenes that were supposed to be at the beach and we got ready to head out. We went out and we struggled to find parking at the beach since for some reason it was super packed. After we parked we walked onto the beach and began to look for a place to settle our things at. Our original plan was to go near the ocean and look for sea shells until we found a chest. Well, while we were just all hanging out there, we explored and found an abandoned boat. We all got...

Production Blog: First day Filming

Hello bloggers! I hope everything is going well. I am back to share some news on the short film. Today me and my group decided that we would start filming. We hopped on a facetime call and we started sharing ideas on how we would start. Nick said that we should go to his house to film but we ended up scratching that plan off. After maybe 40 minutes of thinking about our decision we finally came to a choice. We would go to film at Constanza's house as it is generally close to a lot of places that would be useful for the filmmaking. So I get my things and I head out to her house so we could get started. We start by choosing which scene we would do first and we decided to do a scene where the friend group is waiting to be picked up. Then after that we would go to film everyone running to the car. This took more than one try since we all stumbled on each other twice but no one got badly hurt so it was okay lol. We then had to film everybody getting in the car as if we were about to go...

Production Blog: Back to work

Image
Hello bloggers! I hope all is well with all of you today. So as you know from the last blog we were getting our ideas set up.  We also finished up around a quarter of our script for the scenes. So, today we decided that we would all work in the afternoon. So around that time we went to a local park so we could get some work done in a nice environment. The weather was nice so it  was perfect and we got straight to work as soon as we found a nice bench. So I worked on the script and got most of it done and left is about a quarter left before I got a bit tired. So after working we went to grab lunch since we were all hungry and needed a boost. We went to grab food and on the way there we saw an a memorial place and we instantly got an idea of one of our scenes. We decided that we would film one of our scenes at the cemetery. We were first a little hesitant on it but soon decided that we would eventually follow through with the plan to film there. We got out food and discuss...

Production Blog: Getting started

Image
Hello bloggers! I hope all is well with and as you may know me and my group will be working on our short film. We had to figure out what we would do for our film so we decided that we would start. We had to figure out who would play the roles and if they would fit them correctly. We also thought about what props we would need for the filming process. We figured out what costumes we would need and if we need to do any sort of like makeup of any changes like that. So we decided that I would be a guy named PJ who is sort of a nerdy guy of the friend group. I would be the main guy figuring out stuff and having the main ideas. We made this decision after so many trial and error. We were really stuck since me and Nick could both play the role and it was overall a pain to decide on who would play who. We ended up going to Starbucks to refresh and be able to stay more focused. We get there and we get to work. We started brainstorming about the scenes and how they would loop and we had man...
